Kumo is a Melbourne made women’s clothing store in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. Kumo was established in 2015 by me, Jen Deery. Having lived and worked in Japan, and been a lifelong admirer of Japanese design, my vision for Kumo was to bring together the best elements of Japanese and Melbourne style. After several years wholesaling and selling through design markets around Australia, I opened Kumo’s flagship store in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, in 2021.
Each garment is designed and made in Melbourne from premium Japanese fabric and our collections feature original, edgy pieces, with a minimalist aesthetic. We offer customers an alternative to mass produced fashion, creating quality clothing that stands the test of time.
