OLIO Jewellery

Jewellery and Object

OLIO Jewellery, the creative brand of Gina Fairley, combines lampworked and kiln formed glass elements with Sterling Silver, rubber and organic materials, in a raw to refined aesthetic. Gina’s designs celebrate how materials carry histories, memories and a sense of place – and how that journey is continued by the wearer.

Gina Fairley has straddled a 35-year career of across exhibition management, curating and arts journalism, in Australia, Asia and America. In 2021 she set up a sustainable glass studio with internationally celebrated glass artist, Scott Chaseling, starting her journey as a maker. While she has studied under Silversmiths Corinne Snare (Sturt Studio, Mittagong) and Liz Mitchell (The Bench, Sydney), glass jeweller Kathryn Wardell (Bluedog Glass & RMIT, Melbourne), her jewellery practice is largely self-driven. Gina presented her debut solo exhibition at Retford Park (2024), and in 2025 was a guest judge for national award JMGA Profile at the Australian Design Centre, Sydney. Her designs are stocked with Object Shop, Australian Design Centre (NSW), Queensland Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art, Sydney (Qld) and The Curatorium, National Portrait Gallery, Canberra (ACT).
