Karen Lee is a Canberra based fashion and textile designer. Before completing a Bachelor of Design at Canberra Institute of Technology she worked as a technical writer. After completing her degree Karen started her own label selling at local markets before opening a shared commercial studio/retail space.
Today Karen runs her own design studio focusing on designing and making fashion and textile works. Her practice focuses on slow, thoughtful production with small runs and environmental awareness. In recent years Karen has participated in local group exhibitions at Australian National Capital Artists Inc Gallery, Craft+Design Canberra Gallery and Tuggeranong Arts Centre Gallery.
