Bursaria Workshop

Home and Living | Textiles

Abby French creates hand printed textiles and paper goods under the name Bursaria Workshop. She combines traditional screen printing and stencil techniques with digital pattern-making to create unique tactile textiles - many of them one-of-a-kind. Abby's work is informed by a love of mid-Century and contemporary design. She takes inspiration from forms and structures in the natural and constructed worlds. Experimentation is central to her creative process. She takes time to test, push and respond to the interactions between screen, ink and fabric. The resulting finished pieces are aesthetically pleasing, highly functional and long lasting.

Abby prints on organic, natural fabrics and recycled paper. Each small-batch Bursaria Workshop product is mindfully created by hand to create bespoke, functional wares which can be used for many years. Sustainable production, minimising waste and conscious consumerism are central to Bursaria Workshop's philosophy.
